Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, I moved to the Bay Area for college. Motivated to learn about different economies and how markets function, I pursued an undergraduate major in Economics at Stanford. While in Silicon Valley, I was exposed to how technology can revolutionize and change industries. That motivated me to pursue a Masters in Management Science and Engineering, where I focused on Data Science, so that I can combine my technical skillset with my economics education to transform businesses.
After my education, I started my professional career in Management Consulting to learn about different business problems companies faced. Following that, I joined a health-tech company called Collective Health to employ my Data Science education in practice and help impact the convoluted healthcare industry in the US. Having gained these skills, I am now looking to help businesses in the developing world with their data products, as I believe there is a great opportunity to make businesses more efficient and technologically empowered in these parts of the world. Furthermore, growing up in a developing country myself has equipped me with the passion and cultural context needed to serve as this bridge.
